BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — Swedish shooting legend Jonas Jacobsson clinched his third gold medal at the Beijing Paralympics and 16th from eight Games on Friday, and Natalie du Toit of South Africa made it 4-for-4 to keep alive her hopes of winning five golds.

Although China grabbed only four gold medals on Day Six, the second least for the hosts in any single day since the opening of the Games, they surpassed the 100-medal mark. The Chinese topped the overall medal standings with 37 golds, 42 silvers and 30 bronzes.

Britain, boosted by a haul of six golds in road cycling, swimming and boccia, closed in on China with 33-20-16. The United States was third on 23-16-17.

Jacobsson scored a mediocre 695.8 points in the mixed 50m free rifle prone SH1, nearly seven points short of his own world record. But it was already good enough to put him atop the podium again following victories in 50m free rifle 3×40 SH1 and 10m air rifle standing SH1 events.

70-271 Study Tip - What is a dynamic disk?

Posted on September 13th, 2008 in Microsoft by

A dynamic disk is a physical disk, which supports volumes that span multiple disks such as striped volume, RAID-5 volume, etc. A dynamic disk uses a hidden database to track information about dynamic volumes on the disk and other dynamic disks in the computer. Dynamic disks can be made by converting the basic disks. This can be done by using Disk Management or the DISKPART command-line utility. When a basic disk is converted into a dynamic disk, all existing basic volumes become dynamic volumes.

Limitations in moving dynamic disks Dynamic disks facilitate users in moving dynamic volumes from one computer to another computer.

The following are the limitations in moving dynamic disks to another computer:

Dynamic disks cannot be moved onto computers running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 or earlier, or Windows XP Home Edition.

If a spanned or a striped volume is moved to another computer partially, none of the data on the entire volume will be accessible. Therefore, all disks associated with a spanned or striped volume must be moved together.

The four different versions of Windows Server 2003 are:

1.      Web edition ?which supports one or two processors

2.      Standard Edition ?which supports two processors

3.      Enterprise Edition ?will support up to 8 processors

4.      Datacenter Edition ?can work with up to 32 processors

The operating system must be ctivated?(with the exception of volume license versions) in order to be usable. This is intended to provide copy protection and prevent piracy.

Setup Manager can be used to create answer files (known as Uniqueness Database Files, or UDFs) for automatically providing computer or user information during setup. The Sysprep (System Preparation Tool) utility has also been improved, and is used to prepare an ideal machine to have an image made of it that can be used on other installations.

Microsoft licensed Logical Disk Manager (LDM) from Veritas and included it with Windows Server 2003 to handle drives and their operations.  The two primary disk types now available are:
